Hey guys,im back.I missed writing and sharing some information about Travel and Food. This time,ill be featuring a recipe that i cooked in our morning tv show ,Magandang Umaga South Central Mindanao ,airs daily,6:15 a.m. @ abs-cbn.
Beef recipe is one of the best dishes in the Philippines.Filipino love to cook beef dishes such as Kare-kare,Nilangang Baka,Beef Caldereta,etc. Since Christmas is just around the corner,I prepared an easy beef recipe called Beef Steak Ala Ryan.Cooking this dish is a little bit different than the usual way of cooking beef steaks.
I like the bold flavor of beef on this recipe.Mrs Liwanag Ferrer of Ryan's Lechon House located in Saging Street, General Santos City was my guest in presenting this recipe.
Here are the ingredients:
500 gms Beef Tenderloin (cut into 1x1 inch) 10 pcs kalamsi 5 tbsp Soy Sauce 2 tbsp of Worcestershire Sauce 3 cloves garlic 1 tbsp Sugar 1 tbsp Beef Powder 1/2 tsp Meat Tenderizer 1 tbsp Black Pepper 2 cups of water 1 cup Butter 1 pc white onion 1 tsp cornstarch 1/4 cup water
Procedure
1.Season the Beef Tenderloin with Kalamansi juice and meat tenderizer
2.In a pan,put the marinated Beef Tenderloin.
3.Add Soysauce, Worcestershire sauce,garlic,sugar,black pepper.
4.Add 2 cups of water and simmer for 5 to 8 minutes
5.Pull out the stock of the beef mixture.
6. Add 1/2 bar of butter in the beef mixture.Wait until the beef is totally cook.
7.After cooking the beef,set it aside.
8.In preparing the sauce,put 3 tbsp of butter in a pan.
9.Sautee the onions until it becomes translucent.
10.Add Beef Stock and simmer for 3 minutes.Thicken the sauce by adding cornstarch diluted in water.

During my visit in Hongkong, I am so blessed to stay in one of the HK's leading universities, Hongkong Baptist University. This institution is a publicly funded tertiary institution with a Christian Education heritage. My brother Ardniel was a visiting student professor in HK University last January 2011 to May 2011.I took the chance to visit him for just 1 week.
Founded in 1956 by the Baptist Convention of Hong Kong, HKBU is the
second-oldest institution of higher learning in Hong Kong. It was
established as Hong Kong Baptist College with the support of
American Baptists, who provided both operating and construction funds
and personnel to the school in its early years.

Do you know that there's an International House or hotel for interested exchange students and scholars from other countries?I stayed in HK Baptist University International House for 1 week.
I enjoyed the beautiful scene and view from our room on the 10th floor.This sight reminds me of the fusion of HK natural and man-made landscape.

Part of my Asian Cruise was a one day tour in Malaysia,particularly in Penang. Penang is a state of Malaysia,located on the northwest coast of Peninsular Malaysia by the Strait of Malacca. This state is the second smallest state after Perlis. Penang is one of the most developed and economically important states.
A resident of Penang is known as Penangite.This place has so many things to offer.One of these is SHOPPING.

Philippine Dried Mango is available here.But a little bit expensive.100 gm for 7.99 RM or 106 pesos.You can buy this in Philippines for only 40 to 50 pesos per 100 gms.Philippine Mango is one of the best

Hongkong is known as one of the world's leading financial,banking and trading centers,located at the southeast coast of China. I am amazed by the unique contrasts and close proximity of stunning urban and cityscapes and high mountains.This beautiful place is made up of 4 parts such as Hongkong Island,Kowloon Peninsula,the New Territories and Outlaying Islands.
There are many tourists spots here in Hongkong like Victoria Peak,the amazing Repulse Bay and Ocean Park.I visited these places.Another spot that you must visit in Hongkong is HK Park. Hongkong Park is a public park next to Cotton Tree Drive in Central Hongkong.It was opened in May 1991.Built at a cost of HK $ 398 million. HK Park covers an area of 80,000 m2.
Hongkong Park is considered as perfect example of modern design & facilities blending with the natural landscape.The park is not only a good site for tourists,also it has a significant part in HK History. Part of the site was known as Cantonment Hill in early colonial days in 1841. At the upper part of the former location of the Victoria Barracks,
built between 1867 and 1910, the barracks were handed to the government
in 1979.
